"My first appointment with George C. Georgaklis, D.D.S., fondly known as Dr. George, was in December 2008. I was instantly impressed with the professionalism and kindness of the staff and Dr. George. On September 14, 2010, Dr. George saved my life. My appointment on this day was with dental hygienist, Jessica. Before starting my teeth cleaning I told Jessica that my throat, although not sore, was red on the left side and I showed her a swelling on the left side of my neck, which I believed to be a swollen gland. I was concerned these symptons may mean I should reschedule the teeth cleaning. Jesscia immediately summoned Dr. George, After careful examination, Dr. George highly recommended I see a specialist as soon as possible. He voiced specific concern for the lump on my neck. In October 2010, I was diagnosed with cancer in my left tonsil and cancer of the lymph nodes in the left side of my neck. Both cancers required extensive treatment with chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Recovery was both hard and long, but I survived. I feel very fortunate to be a patient of Dr. George and I will forever be grateful for his life saving advice.
